A father and son are driving in the deep south. I think they have car trouble, but anyway, they are stranded and taken in by a family of poor black share croppers experiencing drought conditions. They share with the pair who learn about the hardships the family must endure. At the end of the movie, it begins to rain and the father and son celebrate with the family in the rain. It was a moral play about how prejudices break down with familiarity. It may have been a movie made to show at Sunday schools or religiously affiliated schools, but not necessarily. I may have seen it in school during class. It may just have been used that way after it's release. Dad was a character actor from the time, but I can't seem to remember a single thing he's been in by name.
