How to do accounting for Rental property company, How to recognize revenue, when to invoice tenant, recording income and post dated cheques received from customers.

First you should not be reciving post dated checks.

Next most rentals the tenant is not invoiced, they merely know when to pay each month, unless you are in a culture that does annual rental.

And I will be very rude, if you do not know these basics, you need to hire someone local to teach you.

If you want to give your tenants an invoice do so each week or each month according to the agreement on the anniversary of the start of the rental or on some other agreed day, you either get paid or you don't, no post dated cheques, if they don't have the money now they might not have it then. Record your income when they pay you and get cash whenever you can
