All fingers have bent into my palm over the last year, cannot straighten them, if I try they move a little then snap straight back. Random bursts of pain throughout day. Toes have bent in over last few months. Cannot straighten or weight bear. Arthritis and nerve conduction tests clear. I'm only a teenager. What is wrong with me?

Sorry... all our crystal Balls were recalled last year because they never actually worked.

A doctor really has to examine you and run tests to determine anything. Doctors don't even self diagnose and go to other doctors so the average person should never do it either.

Have you been to a doctor yet? If not talk to your parents about taking you to see one.

So you have obviously been to a doctor who referred you to a neurologist, but that alone cannot determine what is wrong. I had something like that with carpal tunnel in my right hand, from repetitive motion. We cant give you advice on this. We do not have doctors here. I would suggest you get a second opinion from another doctor. I know it sounds lame but the best I can offer at the moment. It sounds like RA (rheumatoid arthritis) and a good series of blood work tests can more or less determine if it is RA and yes, age is no barrier to this auto immune disease which is more or less genetic so it would do you well to ask around your family to find out if any of them could enlighten you. Good luck.

Sadly we can't give you a diagnosis. As a teenager your parents are responsible for your health care. It's time for them to make appointments with specialists and figure out what's going on. Only a doctor can diagnose you, and sadly it may take many doctors before you find the one that can figure out what's going on. That's just the way it is. It sucks, but it's life.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Time to make some noise, demand that you get answers, and hope for the best, that you find the doctor that can help.

Good luck.

If blood work doesn't show RA indicators, I would suggest a neurology group at a large teaching medical center, even if it means travel.

Read this for ONE IDEA they might look into. NO ONE can diagnose, but you can be informed with research.
