It would be wise to go in for an eye exam. You might be experiencing something as simple as an optical migraine or just the air in the cabin was too dry, creating the double vision which resulted in a headache. You might have some retina issues. Whatever it is, once we start having symptoms, it is always wise to make sure everything is okay. Your eye doctor should be able to give you some insight as to what happened or is happening.

Gay, I don't know what insurance coverage you have but if you check with your primary care physician, he/she can refer you to an ophthamologist. I started getting optical migraines and they are very frustrating and the headaches can be painful at times. One of the benefits of aging I guess, LOL. Anyway, it is better for you to be safe than sorry. If you are overdue for an eye exam, it would make sense to just make sure everything is as it should be. I suspect it was only a case of the air being too dry in the cabin. But, if the doctor can verify that, then the next time you fly, bring some saline drops with you. That should help prevent that from happening again.

Please see an Ophthalmologist now. I was @ work one normal day & got a headache, followed by sudden double vision. After an MRI... I was diagnosed w/ a brain tumor. Please don't wait!
