We are like super best friends and I've known this girl (she's 16) and I'm 13 (also a girl) for such a long time and we've known each other since we were little. And this girl and I have been in a same-sex relationship and we both want to get married sometime this year, and is it okay to do that in the UK?

**also just letting you know that I'm the 16 year old girl and I'm also here asking the same question so we're both asking you guys/girls please help us!!

~thank you~ (=

No. While UK law does permit same sex marriage, the age rules of marriage remain in effect. Those rules state that both parties to a marriage must be 16.

I'm not sure abou UK laws, but if there is any kind of sexual relationship, including kissing, the 16 year old could be arrested and labeled a sex offender for the rest of her life.

No, the law does not permit children to marry.

Now that I'm old, I am just wondering WHY THE RUSH??
A lot of young couples feel that it's some sort of 'proof' of love. It isn't. It's easy to marry and easy to divorce, except for a few fees. It doesn't keep couples together.
Real love doesn't need proof.
