I have a 7.2v D.C. Dirt Devil but I cannot find the original charger cord. I noticed that the power cord for my Bose computer speakers fits the Dirt Devil. The transformer (I think that's what the big black box is called) says that it has a 12v D.C. output. Is it safe to use this power cord on the Dirt Devil?
