It's a movie with a male star who lives in his city studio and works with very large canvases. I thought it was Jeff Bridges, but don't any more. He's completely taken with the forms and lines of women and approaches his paintings with abandon, seen mulling his next move while stroking his beard with wet paint, oblivious as to what he's doing to himself. His studio is large and brick with lots of light. He plays basketball to ease the tension of putting himself on canvas. He moves from one intense relationship to another; in one of the last scenes he's dressed up for an opening of his work and sips champagne while admiring the lines of his next ex.
