A man and his cat went to space, but when they came back, Earth was practically a wasteland. They team up with some hippie guy with a camper and a boomvox radio. Don't know if it was a foreign film or if they just said gibberish. It was pretty epic, and I NEED to know the title of it. (And No, I'm not talking Wallace and Gromet.) Thank you!
