So, I go to clinical for respiratory therapy and just had to choose a patient with a disease condition and had to research about it. I have arrived with these but can't think about the rest. Can someone please help me.
1) Admitting Diagnosis/Diagnosis: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD Moderate)
2) Respiratory Problems: Shortness of breath, Wheezing, patient feels extreme chest tightness during exercise, chronic cough, patient has mucous, and patient has difficulty with doing routine activities and climbing stairs, patient is very lethargic, and lost 20 pounds of weight recently
3) Oxygen therapy + Treatment(s) Ordered (w/frequency) to include medication(s)
4)List all necessary equipment used for oxygen and ordered therapy
EZ PEP therapy
5) Indication(s) for Oxygen/ treatment
Hypoxia (patient had oxygen saturation levels of <89%)
Hypoxemia ( patient had hypoventilation)
Increased work of breathing
6)Discuss the teaching or dialogue necessary to deliver the oxygen/treatment effectively for this patient

• Oxygen toxicity
• Abolition of hypoxic drive
• Absorption atelectasis
• Retinopathy of prematurity
7) Appropriate Response to Hazards (ALL) for oxygen and therapy
