So we just got a new bathroom sink installed, it has one tap. Whenever we open the tap, it makes a loud noise. If we fully open it, the noise is a lot louder.
I asked the plumber about this but he said that's just because the taps they make these days are designed like that but I don't think so.
What is the issue with my new sink?

Your plumber is full of it.
Most likely one of the stop valves, hot or cold, has debris trapped in it or has a loose washer. Replace stop valves under the sink.
Also replace plumber.

CLOSE and OPEN both valves under the sink. Also make sure the flexible water supply connectors under the sink are not KINKED. One of these two is making the noise
See if that helps

The water supply connectors are both kinked. When I turn on the hot water, the noise is quieter than if I were to turn on the cold water.
The water supply pipe is short, can I buy an extension or something?

Unkink the water supplies. See if that helps... Hint: if too short, buy longer supplies

Hello Unmanm786,
Do as the experts suggested and yes you can buy longer supply hoses, remove the old one take to home depot or pluming supply store, good luck.
