I had a C-section 6.5 weeks ago. I had a heavy seven day period at 4 weeks. I at 6 weeks for my check up and had a traditional pap smear. Now for two days I am bleeding heavy again. No pain. Not sure what this is...

How heavy is heavy? Some women will have intermittent bleeding for several weeks after birth, usually it is not a concern. If very heavy, or prolonged... such as needing to change a sanitary pad every hour, it would be wise to contact your doctor or visit the ER to rule out a postpartum hemorrhage. Some women retain some placenta, which can cause continued bleeding, but this is part of what is check when the placenta is delivered after birth. Since you are still healing yet, and your body is returning to normal, the exam itself (even though you had a c-section) may have been enough to cause some bleeding. Are you on any hormonal birth control at this point? That can sometimes cause irregular bleeding, especially to start with. Sometimes it is your body's way of telling you to slow down. Take it easy for a couple of days and see if it tapers off.

If you feel that the bleeding is excessive, give your doctor's office a call. Any other problems along with it, such as being lightheaded, consider going to the ER to get checked.
