Call City hall or lok them up online. They probably have all their regulations posted online. This is an international website and you might be the only person from that town here.

It's difficult to find accurate info online. Best to call and ask.
Many places do have fees associated with owning a pitbull. Where I live the license for a pitbull is $1000 a year, you must agree to monthly visits from the police to determine that the dog is being kept properly (fenced, kenneled, muzzled when out for a walk, well contained).
Frankly I find it unfair. I don't believe in bad breeds, just bad owners. But sadly this is what the pitbull now faces, which limits many people from adopting or owning one when they are more than qualified to have this type of pet.
Call your local registrar (may be called something else in the US, the place where you get licenses), ask what the restrictions, if any, are for owning a pitbull. Also call your insurance company, as many times you will have to up your insurance to own this breed.
Good luck. I hope it works out.
