Got a 05 neon 5 speed. Speedometer quit. Diagnostics stated speed sensor. Would this be the outboard sensor, or wheel speed sensor. I read the wheel speed or vss is for the anti lock and traction control.

Replace the VSS going into the transmission (AutoZone SU3073, $34.99). There's only one mounting bolt--coat the O-ring with oil.
