I'm thinking of a movie and can't remember the title. It was about a boy in middle school who was very concerned about his reputation with his friends. His Mom asks him to hang around with another boy who was small and picked on a lot. The boy in middle school is worried about his reputation since he was hanging around with a nerd. But as the story continues the two boys become good friends and like being together. It's an excellent movie to show kids not to exclude kids and always be a friend. Since the movie has such a good meaning I think it would be excellent to show kids in elementary and middle school. Can anyone think of what the title might be to this movie?

Was it Man of the House? It stars Chevy Chase, Farrah Fawcett, JTT, and some others. Similar storyline when JTT joins Indian Guides.

Maybe 'Lucas'? 1986. With Corey Haim.

Sounds like Lucas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_(film)), much of which was filmed very near my house.
