Hello everyone.. I have a 2003 honda accord V6 (Vtec) Ex.. I had a oil pan leak and my car started knocking and that oil light came one I drove for about 4 miles before I parked it.. after fixing the pan the knock still is there

There is likely serious engine damage. The valves are the last on the oil train and the first to go, when there is oil failure. The highest pressures in a engine are on the camshaft lobes. Therefore, I would first remove the valve cover and check the camshaft and valves. Next, I would check the oil pressure with a gauge. That may indicate excessive crankshaft journal clearances, due to wear. If so, you'll have to rebuild the engine.

Once you repair the damage, only use full synthetic engine oil. VTECs are very sensitive to the condition of the oil, due to the involved valve configuration. Sludging will kill a VTEC real fast.
