My wife miscarried at 15wks and carried until 20 weeks not knowing. Upon the discovery they did a D&C on her. After the surgery she felt like a new woman, then the bleeding and the pain began. I am talking large quantities of blood and clots. This continued for nearly a week. At the next OBGYN visit the following week I told her of the pain and bleeding, the concern was a punctured uterus. We scheduled the second surgery for a couple days later and when they did the surgery, they found just that, a punctured uterus. Now this is May 5th, and it has been almost 2 months since the last surgery. She has been bleeding for 1 1/2 months and been in severe pain. This is an ongoing thing, and doesn't seem to be treated with the antibiotic they gave her to prevent an infection which was (Doxycycline). The OBGYN won't return phone calls and we are getting no answers. Her outlook on this is getting grim, she wants to feel normal again, but at the same time thinks its an unattainable goal. Are there any OBGYN's on here that could shed some light on what it could be?

So sorry to hear about this experience. Since your current OB will not get back with you, it would be wise to contact another gynecologist for her to be seen. Ask family, friends, coworkers for recommendations.
