I have checked for broken wires,I have replaced the PTO clutch and replaced the diode part number am122590 and still have no engagement.When it stopped operating I was mowing and the positive battery cable end broke,I replaced the cable and the battery.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was the broken POS cable the cause of the engine stopping or did it break when you fiddled with it? Sounds like it stopped for lack of fuel.
