I have a furnace that is turning off and on to quickly. We have our house set at 69 degrees and the furnace turns on and the flame sensor starts and ignites the flames. They run as normal and then they kick out and there is no degree change. This happens every 5 minutes. Sometimes it will run for longer and shut off like normal, but that doesn't seem to be the normal anymore. I notice that when it turns off it seems like the cold air flow continues to cycle. The red light works fine and stays on and the yellow light would flash and that's when the flame sensor was cleaned. Now the yellow light stays on as it should. When the furnace works normally it heats the house pretty effectively. I was wondering if anyone could help me find a solution.
Things I have done to troubleshoot.

1. Cleaned the flame sensor
2. All the vents have been opened

The hi-limit safety might be tripping. What's confusing is you should get 1 flash on the LED. It's possible the control board might faulty. Do you have a voltmeter?

The orange LED light was flashing before and then it moved to solid. The red LED light always stays solid. I do not have a voltmeter.

To eliminate the thermostat as a possible source of trouble, remove it & connect the wires from terminals R & W together. If the furnace now comes on & stays on, it would indicate a possible thermostat problem.
