Hi, I am 33 5' 11" and weigh 215 with about 20 percent body fat. I eat well and workout regularly. My question is will I pass? It will be a full 48 hours since my last beer. I drank 8-9 beers with an approximate total of 144 ounces 16 ounces each. In the past 12 hours I've drank at least a gallon of water, took creatine(as usual) multivitamin, ate whole wheats, lean meats, egg whites avocados for breakfast which all this is pretty much my normal routine. What are my chances of passing after a full 48 hours?

So you bought into all the hype and old wives tales.

At only 48 hours it's a roll of the dice... many people have failed... some people have passed. You are going to find out either way. If I was a betting man I'd say your chances of failing are fairly high.

What circumstances are the tests for? What happens if you fail, Was the beers worth the risk of what the consequences are? I'm guessing not.

What wives tales and hype are you referring to? Drinking water, eating well and exercise all speed up metabolism right? It seems that's the key to speeding up the process..

Yep... believe that if you wish. Ever hear of Dilution? That's an automatic fail when its detected. Yes they have seen all the ways people try (most do nothing), they have heard all the excuses people use. They actually look for the various ways people try to cheat. Any of those when detected are considered an attempt to influence the results of a test. And an automatic failure. You don't get a chance to explain them.

You failed to answer an important question. What is the test for? A job screening test will be far less stringent than a court ordered test for probation or Parole. They each have different cutoff standards.

Hmm.. Ok well I do know not drinking any fluids a couple hours prior does not lead to dilution.

Anyway.. Why do u care I thought I was asking an expert? And it seems dr bill is the one Id like to hear from.

Do u do this regularly or are u just bored tonight?

And my test is for something that if I fail.. Life goes on and I'll still be fine.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Doctor Bill. He hasn't been here in several years.

Check the attitude at the curb if you want answers from anyone here.

Since you are so dodgy on answering a direct question... I will assume it's a court ordered test. Otherwise you wouldn't be so concerned if you pass or fail.

Dr Bill is no longer on this site.

The reason for the test makes a difference because cut-off levels are different depending on the test but whatever...at this point, all anyone can really do is guess because you are at the point of being iffy with the amount of time passed...and since you don't want to say if it's for court or not, the best you can get is a simple guess.

Will you pass? My guess is yes...does that mean anything? Not really because it is only a guess.

Are u a po or a guidance counselor? U seem bored and lonely and need to feed your ego lurking around sites like this.
I asked a question looking for an answer. If you have a better answer then "it's a roll of the dice".. Shoot! If not kick rocks!

You got answers... if you need a fortune told... you need to see a Gypsy Woman. Nobody here can tell fortunes or see the future.

The quality of the answers you get is directly related to the quality of the information you provide.

48 hour since the last drink/binge for a healthy person is a crap shoot and just a guess by anyone. Some detection is likely but at what levels... who knows? Is this your first test? Have you failed before?

I've had several test but this could be the first fail. Valentine's Day shenanigans. It is for probation.

Likely you will get a retest to confirm a fail, but you better test at an even lower level than you failed at, and what's acceptable to pass. You could save yourself a lot of stress though taking these test a lot more seriously, and getting back to what helped you pass before. Be aware that the tricks to deceive the test are easily detected, and fool no one, but cast suspicion on your honesty, and credibility, and bring extra scrutiny and a harsher judgement when you do slip and get caught. Not worth it to cover up bad behavior.

Let this slip put you on better behavior, and own it, rather than hide it, if you expect to get the benefit of a doubt. PO's treat you much differently once they think you will lie to them, and try to cheat, and deceive, as opposed to making a human mistake, but trying to play it straight.

You do have a choice though, you can do this the right way, give it your best shot, or you can do it YOUR way, and try to skate through with tricks. Trust me here, the science will reveal any attempts at deception. Even elevated level of this creatine you ingest that deviate from your already established baseline from previous tests.

Hold your head up, as a fail because you slipped, is not a guarantee, so don't act like it is, just hope for the best and do better.

Good luck, and watch those shenanigan.
