Hello Respected Everyone ! :)

I am 24 young woman, lives in India.

I want to settle in the USA.

I have the Passport, but don't have a Visa.

I don't want Student Visa or Job Visa as they are just temporary. I want to know, what should I do that I can live in the usa at least for a year?

It's my first visit for a foreign country. Plus, how much Bank Balance I should have for the verification?? Please help.

Thanks for reading honorable people. Take Care, God Bless You All. :)

I don't know how to get the kind of visa you want, unless you have someone here who will sponsor you.
If you don't want to work or study here, you will probably be denied. Costs vary a lot around the country. If you will live in a remote, difficult place, or in a city slum with high crime, you might be able to live for about 11-12,000 USD per year. Or if you can find an apartment sharing situation in a nice place, about the same. You might get a reasonable rental share with someone for about 500 each, plus utilities (varies a lot), and about 250 for basic food and necessities, leaving very little for everything else! But millions of us have done it.

You have never been out of India, and are young. This isn't a wise idea. The US isn't all one image, any more than India is. And what will you do while here?
Get a tourist visa for the maximum and see how it goes. See if you can find an apartment share short term while here. Housing is the biggest expense. College/university towns are best. Some college dorms rent out rooms very cheaply in the summer, when only summer students are there (June-Aug).

Hello respected joypulv,

If I take Tourist Visa for the maximum, so would I be able to learn music" over there ?

If somebody (friend) who is citizen in the USA, sponsors me so in this case do I get Immigration Visa ? If yes then, how long does it take ?

Thanks for your time. God Bless you, Take Care joypulv ! :)
