My female dog got pregnant. Before that, though, we gave her a rabies shot. Now she is having puppies. But, every puppy she's having is already dead. Is it because of the shot? How can it stop?

No it absolutely is not because of the Rabies shot if it was given before pregnancy. How old is she? Do you know when she was mated? Is this her first litter?

You sound very concerned, as you should be. Notify your vet that you are coming in NOW, scoop up momma and the puppies and take in. Hopefully, they can answer your questions and make sure mom is OK. Let us know!

Its not her first litter.she's about 7 or 8 years old.and this would be her fourth litter.so she's had 3 litters.

I don't pretend to but things that pop into my head would be possible infection that mom may have that showed no outward signs. It would be unusual for the entire litter to have birth defects... did the pups come out still in their sacs? Did mom remove sacs quickly? How long was her gestation? It averages 60-65 days...

The whole litter hasn't come out yet, only two puppies so far.

Les-slow down. You can contact someone faster by clicking on the user name and sending a private message-it'll go to email... did you call your vet?

Even if she still is in active labor-get your vet on the phone and take all in. You need to see about the mother, too.

Using PM's to answer questions is against site policy. It is a good rule I support fully. At best it can delay an answer and at the worst it can prevent others from correcting bad advice.

She obviously needed help and didn't understand why I or anyone else didn't answer as quickly as she posted.
No where in my post did I ask her to PM me for further answers.
Again, I state, if you feel the need to disagree with my posts, do so. If you want to chastise, PM me.
