I got a Christmas present that I don't know what is. All I know for sure is that it's for the kitchen and its brand is Deglon.

It's like a cheese grater knife hybrid. The handle and general structure is like that of a knife, but instead of a blade there is a strange silver bit which is blunt and doesn't move. The silver bit is like a cheese grater which would only be able to grate one strand of cheese at a time because it only has one hole. Have you any idea what it might be for?

(I've thought of olive pitter, but that didn't work out, neither did vegetable peeler or can opener.)

Why not ask the person who gave it to you?

A zester for citrus peels?

Thanks! It's not a zester, but there was a bit on the zester picture which looked the same so I looked up that part. Turns out I have a channel knife. I feel so fancy.

It is a zester really, but only draws one strip of fruit of an orange, lime or lemon to use as garnishes in cocktail drinks.
