Hi there guys. I just want your expert advise regarding my problem. My car has oil and atf leak and I took it into our mechanic. He changed the oil seal, transmission seal and used a texron caltex atf fluid. All goes well and the leak is gone. Now my car starts to vibrate hard during around 30kph when its changing gears when I'm in drive. The vibration will go away when I step unto the gas more. The tricky thing is when I put my tranny in drive 3. The vibration is gone. I need help badly, thanks guys!

You should only use ATF meeting Honda's Z1 specification. It sounds like your transmission has developed a shudder, which is likely more noticeable before the transmission reaches normal operating temperature. I would change the fluid right away, which will take 3 quarts, and then do it again, which will take another 3 quarts. This should purge the transmission of most of the old fluid. See if this improves the situation. I assume no codes have been thrown.

Hi there! What you have said is perfectly describes my problem. My tranny shifts fine when it's still cold. Then it shudders when the car reaches optimal temperature. I'll try to change the fluid right away!

After reading again you're reply, I think the opposite is happening to my car. It shudders more when it hits it optimal temperature.

ATXs are the weak link on all FWD cars. Honda recommends that you change the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles. Always change the fluid, after the transmission reaches normal operating temperature. If you follow Honda's recommendations, their ATXs will go the distance.
