My husband had to replace the saddle tapping valve with a new one to a new faucet for our ice maker line, but after he read the instructions and installed it, it leaks very badly. I think he over tightened it, but he doesn't think he did. If he did, is that why it's leaking so badly? Is there anyway to repair this? Not the faucet line has a hole in it and he's (and I am) very frustrated! Thank you very any advice you can offer.

I would suggest installing shark bite or gator bite PUSH ON FITTINGS instead of the older style saddle valves... famous for leaking now or even years down the road, so now is a good time to get rid of that stuff permanently.

Purchase a tubing cutter, a shark bite tee fitting, a small piece of copper tubing (type L), and a shark bite ice maker shutoff and your husband should be able to simply push all the pieces together and finalize this job quite fast!

Back to you...

Simplest solution if you can find this valve..
