What type of views are you looking for?

I would assume personal views.

My Grandparents are in the old way of thinking. They think that whites should marry whites and blacks should marry blacks.

If they see black and white or white and black. Especially somebody they know of. They would call the women white trash for going out with a black guy.

They say they are not racist but when they talk to me it sure sounds like it. I have heard and seen on television many many families that are torn on this issue.

Now a days people, their cultures and their backgrounds are very much intertwined and I personally do not feel there is anything wrong with it.

I think as long as your happy with each other. That you truly love one another it should not matter what background, colour you are.

It also should not matter what any family member says. It does cause lots of friction and lots of hurt but some people just do not understand what is truly important.

I would say that it brings a lot of issues in today's world. First dating leads to marriage and marriage also leads to kids, Often the kids of mixed race have no place in either, in black/white the black culture does not fully accept them often, and white does not accept them as white.


I will be honest , since my wife is black, and my wife before her that has passed on, was also black. I never knew pure racism or hatred before I married my wife. First I find that we get more racism within the black culture that acts like my wife is a trader to her race. There are even black churches that preach that any black who has anything to do with whites are traders to their race.

And of course we get all sorts of stupid people, in line at McDonalds people act like we are not together, we now have a child, and people would ask us are we raising him black or white.

So for those couples that are doing it, they are getting into a lot more than they could ever image, and after talking to some other couples this appears to be common to them also.

So it is going to be harder, couples have enough problems, just review our lists under relationships on here, This is just one more.

And it is also hard, we so often don't even realise those little terms or jokes we may make, that invovle race, it can turn a wonderful evenint into sleepingon the couch real fast
