Hi there,
I've recently had my conventional boiler replaced with a condensing regular boiler. Since then my power shower isn't get very hot waster and when the boost button is used it cuts out completely. A plumber from the co has been and replaced a valve so the water cylinder fills quicker. He also ran the water taps downstairs to get the air out but the problem persists with the shower. :-((

Did you have the plumber check the shower while he was there? If not then why not? Back to you, Tom

Hi Tom

I didn't think to do that as it was working fine before the boiler replacement.

Sounds like you've desturbed some minerals built up in the pipe walls that are now clogging your power shower. The solution would be to open up the valve and check and clear the inlet ports. Good luck, Tom

Hi Tom
I have an engineer from the heating co coming tomorrow morning. Which valve and inlet ports?
This evening we have been able to use the shower... albeit without the power boost initially, using the boost at the end only, for fear of the water cutting off. The water is still not very hot in the shower, but the tap in the sink has hot water.

Which valve and inlet ports? By "valve" I mean shower valve and the inlets are located on the cartridge. Power showers are complicated and best serviced by a technician. Good luck, Tom
