It states that employers have to provide uniforms to workers free of charge. Our uniform requirements are a t-shirt with our logo, which we provide one free of charge to each employee. We require that all shirts or jackets worn in the facility have to be clothing that has our logo.If an employee wants a jacket or long sleeve shirt we require that they purchase them. Is it legal to have the employee purchase additional clothing for this purpose when our true uniform is a t-shirt?

Wow in my state, (NC) they can make you wear a clown outfit and force you to pay for it.
But I am thinking that the co. You work for knows what it does and doesn't have to pay for. They always have lawyers to cover their backs.

The difference is the term "want" not where they requrie you to wear it.
