My last period was on July 11th and finished on the 16th , I had unprotected sex on July 31 took plan b pill 45 minutes after sex . The week after taking the pill , I had nothing but cramps going on , and the next week on the third day , 13 days after taking the pill I have a brownish discharge on my underwear , as I'm assuming it's spotting , but now I'm getting heavy cramps almost as if I'm about to get my period soon.. Can I take a pregnancy test now before my period starts ? This is my first time and I have no ideas what I just got myself into!!

Sadly the morning after pill can really really screw up your system. Much better to use birth control. But it's too late for that.
You can experience cramping, break through bleeding, heavy bleeding, more than one period in a month lasting for longer than normal, etc. etc. It should have been in the pamphlet that came with the medication. If not, you can look up the side effects based on the brand you used, online.
Now's the scary part. No form or birth control is 100% effective, including the morning after pill. So pregnancy is still possible. But, testing before your period is due, is a waste of money.
Wait until your period is at least 2 weeks late. If you miss it, test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait for your next period. If you miss it, test again or get a blood test done.
Realize that it can take many women well into their second trimester before getting a reliable result from a pregnancy test.
Doesn't seem worth the trouble of a few minutes of pleasure, does it? :(
Good luck.

I used plan b one step , after 45 minutes into sex . All I had was cramping and now I'm spotting a week later , does that indicate no pregnancy ? So when exactly do I have to test myself to get exact answers ? I have bad anxiety and I can not keep calm .

The cramping and the spotting is one of the possible side effects of taking the plan B, as I already stated in my first post.
No, cramping and spotting does not indicate that you're not pregnant. That's a side effect of the plan B.
Wait until your period is overdue. Two weeks is best, but if you can't wait, try a test a week after you miss your period. The rest I already posted in my first reply, so no need to repeat, just need for you to actually read it.

Sorry, I agree, the cramping and spotting, does not mean you are not pregnant. That is a common side effect of the Plan B. Plan B can also cause you to miss your next period, (or also cause additional bleeding)
A test now, does not really show correctly. It is best to wait till you are about two week late, to try and test.

The first physical manifestation of pregnancy is a missed period. So, while you may be pregnant, the cramps and spotting are not due to a pregnancy. Though, I agree with Alty that they are probably a side effect of the Plan B. Alty answered your question about when to test. HPTs are less than 50% accurate during the first week after your period is late and increase to over 95% at the end of the 2nd week.
