I want to know if the 80 hrs talked about in the EtG testing posts is 80hrs from your last drink or if it is 80 hrs after your bac level is 0. If the later is the case, how can you figure out when your bac hit 0 and thus do the correct math.

At this point you are going to need to Google it and figure it out on your own.

When you're presented with a situation where you are told you are not allowed to drink alcohol you have two choices on what you can or cannot do:
1). Accept that you're not allowed ethanol for a period. Exploit the resources available and do your time on the Wagon.
2). Don't accept that you're not allowed to drink and drink anyway. Try to figure out how you can still drink, when you're not allowed to, and not get caught thus cheating the system.

You're chasing #2 and as a community my don't condone that. You'll have to figure that out on your own.

Hey thee CravenMorhead. Don't you think I regret making that decision. I really wasn't looking for a lecture on what I should have done. My bad I made a mistake that won't happen again but you are absolutely of no help or comfort at all. I am very well aware of my choices and I was hoping that having a heart attack with all this stress over this would not be one of them. The test is done, let the chips fall where they may. I hope you (as a community) can find some compassion for screw ups like me someday. Thanks for absolutely nothing Craven. God Bless

Oh and by the way, I did Google it. How do you think I connected with you?

As I have expressed previously, if you review the data from the large ETG studies, MOST people will be clear of ETG by 60 hours after their last drink. Most all the studies do not start with BAC of 0. They start with admission to Rehab when people have very high BACs.

You will test negative.

There is absolutely nothing you can do about your test now anyway. Accept it and move on.

Thank you AntC. You are right, I just feel so stupid and so guilty. I am not a good con or a liar but my financial life depends on me not failing this. I am paying for all of this out of pocket on a stupid disturbing the peace charge. I hope when I get through all of this I will be able to be as helpful and kind as you have been. I appreciate you taking the time. Thanks again.

Yes, it is from the last drink, not the BAC as there is no way you would know what your BAC was or is unless you take the time and expense to be tested at a lab.

You're missing the forest for the trees.

You're so focused on this specific part of the picture that you're not comprehending the entirety of the situation. I personally don't give a good god d@mn what you want or what you're expecting. The facts are simple and you DON'T need the information you're asking for. It doesn't matter to you in your particular situation. You're fixated on the test and how it works and it REALLY feels like you want to cheat it. I can't get behind that. It's pure and simple and I won't help you in that regard. I won't walk you down that path that could lead to further ruin.

You made the decision. The dice are tossed and you have, and will, receive the consequences that come of that decision. Receive them with a little grace and follow the instructions given to you.

LOL In other words, you have no earthly idea. Thanks for all your help. Guess we'll just have to wait and see but at least l will be able to help someone else when this is all over. Blessings.

Here's the way this works on this site. We don't help people cheat these tests. It's against the rules of this site, and against most of the regular posters morals, sadly not all. :(

The way your question is worded, it sounds like you want to know how much you can drink, and how many days you have to stay sober, in order to pass an ETG test. We will not give you that information. That would be providing you information to cheat a test. Do you understand that?

If that's not the way you meant your question to sound, I would suggest re-wording it. It's hard to communicate clearly with the written word, and we can only go by the way we read what you wrote, and to me, and obviously others, it sounded like you wanted to know how to cheat upcoming tests. We cannot provide you with that information. We would be doing you, and everyone else in the world, a great disservice if we did this.

Thank you for your quick and very helpful responses. I did pass the EtG test I was asking about. I want to add that the stress and guilt of this whole experience is one that I will not be repeating. Thank you J-9 and AntC for responding with the facts as you have come to understand them and not just offering up your own opinion about someone's situation. Most helpful and again many thanks.
