I purchased a vehicle from a private individual and financed it with my credit union. The title was held by the owner's bank and joint payment was made to the individual and the bank. It has now been 4 months and the individual's bank has not produced a title. I have been without a car before I can't register it. What can I do?

Yes sue the bank and the seller for the value of the car. Normally that catches their attention,

Have you called the bank and asked them about it ? It is possible they returned the title to the seller who did not realise he was suppose to do something with it.

Have you checked with your credit union to be sure they did not get it ?
