We have a 1.6 gpf toilet. After we flush the water keeps slowly trickling into the bowl. There is no sound so it's not 'running'. What parts do we need to repair this problem. Don't like wasting water.

The water in the tank is not reaching the bowl, correct?

Are you saying that the tank is not filling?
I'm not really sure what exactly sure just what you're complaining about. Can you make things a little clearer? Back to you. Tom

Hi Pammy
I certainly am not 100% sure here, but if I was to guess by your description I would guess that the FLAPPER is going bad and needs to be replaced. Here, take some dark food coloring and drip 20 drops into the toilet TANK and then check the toilet BOWL every 10 minutes or so for an hour. If the colored water from the toilet tank shows up in the toilet bowl then the flapper needs to be replaced.
To change out the flapper, you'll need to shut off the water to the toilet, flush the toilet and then remove the flapper and take it to a local plumbing supply store and see if you can get an EXACT replacement. if an exact replacement flapper isn't available you can try a "universal" fit flapper, but they don't usually work out too well...;)
Back to you...
