I'm wondering if I can attach a garden hose to my kitchen faucet. I have a Moen faucet with a short spray nozzle. Is it a good idea to unscrew the spray nozzle and attach a garden hose?

I doubt you will find it would work. Most interior plumbing threads are fine... most outdoors ones are coarse, assuming the diameters even work.

Many years ago I knew this was possible... (like around 30 because I've done it) but most faucets I see today it would not work with.

Yeah, I've done it before too, but it was with a traditional kitchen faucet. The sprayer style faucet looks like a challenge.

I'm wondering if I can attach a garden hose to my kitchen faucet. No biggie! Go to a plumbing store and ask for a faucet to hose adapter, Good luck, Tom

Thanks, I know about those - you should reread the question.

you should reread the question. I read your question.

Is it a good idea to unscrew the spray nozzle and attach a garden hose? I just couldn't see why anybody would want to complicate a simple operation. You do know that if you connect the way you describe that once you turn the water on you will have pressure on both the hose AND the spout. Not to swift a idea. You must have a reason to set things up this way, would you care to share? Back to you, Tom

My answer, albeit short is, " Not a good idea" and see no purpose unless you wish to enlighten us dullards.
