Hello, does anyone have a good suggestion for a natural stress reliever? I am on probation and I cannot do take anything illegally. Thank you in advance.

Beware of the KavaKava though it can cause heart problems.

Also, before you decide on any herbal or natural stress relievers you must review your medications if you are on any. And by any I mean ANY.

For instance if you are on a high blood pressure medicine that is a MAOI, you CANNOT take St. John's Wort (just an example)

So if you are on any meds, you should discuss this with your doctor.

Many herbs interact with medications and certain foods. They should be used with caution if used.

Thank you again, I tried to comment on your answer, but I must add "reputation" to my profile or something,
Time to read the instructions a little better, it is so cool being in contact with you all, oh tomorrow morning I get to "face the music" with my probation officer, things should be o.k. since I'm going totally legal now

Its not as hard as you might think. The trick is to stay away from all the people, places, and things that might get you in trouble. Anyway about your question, some of those "natural" products could cause you to test positive on a drug test, I don't know. The best stress relief, exercise. Even if it is just walking for a few min. you will feel better. Also talking, very important.

What about taking up Yoga or/and learning meditation techniques.

Good luck today girl. Keep us posted.

It is good to hear that you want to stay clean. It is not always an easy road, but when you hit those potholes, you can come here for a little support.

You can do this. I'm pulling for you.

Hello Janine, I traveled about 20 miles into town, forgetting it was Good Friday and govt. offices are closed. Go figure, that PO office has been a real pain in the you know what!
On a much lighter note, I won't let them wear me down! I have handled much worse than this. I'll just get into gardening real soon, and daily walks, and chew some valerian root. (just kidding about the root) have a nice Easter and I'll be typing soon, Michelle

I just wanted to add that lavender is a good stress reliever for me. You can get it in lotions, bath oils, soaps, potpourri, or put some oil on a cotton ball and breathe it in (not too much though-a little goes a long way). Lavender and chamomile work well together. Of course like some already said-yoga and pilates are good stress reliever.
