Hi everyone,

Well, those who read my comment 2 weeks ago know that I was hoping to get pregnant, but I was just 5 days late on my period. Is it possible to get your period for 5 days which is normal for me and have it stop and then have spotting. This is weird for me because now I'm thinking that I might be pregnant. But then again I know you can't get pregnant and get your period. My hormones must be acting up on me because I was taking birth control for month and then I stopped taking because. Who knows, I'm just curious.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I had unprotected sex and my boyfriend came inside of me on 3/31/07 and my period began 3/28/07. I have regular cycles; is it possible to become pregnant in these circumstances? I checked my ovulation calendar and it says I won't be fertile until 4/9-4/14. I would just like to know what you think!!

Thank you

Chances are that you are not pregnant. If you are not ready to be a family for life, well at least 18 years, you need to use protection next time.

But this time, it is doubtful that you are pregnant.

Thanks, so much... but I do want to have a baby real bad but for some reason I didn't conceive in March 07. I couldn't believe it because every time me and boyfriend were intimate he came inside of me. I'm starting to think that maybe I can't have babies or something. I hope it's not like that but I still feel like there is something wrong. But like I posted in my previous comment it must be the because that has some left over hormones in my system preventing me from coming out pregnant.

Thanks

You may have sex for years and not get pregnant, or it can happen the first time. First if you want to, you need to have it timed to the most fertile time, and even for those that time their sexual intercourse to be on the best times, it can take months and months even if both of them have no medical issues. You seem not to have a lot of knowledge on this, I may suggest you do some web searches and find out about conception.

Also is your boyfriend ready to be a daddy. To pay child support if you are not together, are you ready to raise a child, for some reason I just have this feeling you are so young.

I'm actually 24, and I do know how conception occurs but I guess I'm being paranoid about this. I have an ovulation calendar and it tells me when I'm fertile and when I'm not. We had intercourse on the days that I was fertile and the day I was ovulating and still no pregnancy that's why I think there is a problem. Your probably right sometimes you can get pregnant off the first time or after several months. I'm not going to stress about it. If It happens fine if it doesn't then it's not time yet. It's really up tp god when he would like me to have a baby.

Yeah, according to my ov calendar it seems to be all next week. But llike I said I feel that the because pills I was taking for a month really messed up my hormones. It's okay I guess I'll keep trying maybe I'll have a baby sometime this year, if not it's okay.

The because could have effected your cycle. It may just take you a while. I'm also 24 and it took my husband and me 6 months to conceive. I was also going by when the calendar said I was most fertile. I had actually just gotten an ovulation predictor kit to start using for the month of April, but we finally got pregnant. I just had my first ultrasound and I should have been 8 weeks along tomorrow. I'm in fact only about 6-6.5 weeks meaning that my ovulation was 1-2 weeks later than thought. I ovulated right before I was supposed to get my period! You should start really tracking your ovulation (opk or chart your bbt) then just relax and have fun. It could easily take up to a year or longer to conceive, even if you both are completely healthy. I hope it all works out well for you.

Sorry for the late response automansgirl...

Congratulations!! How exciting... I am so happy for you and I hope you have a healthy pregnancy and enjoy it to the fullest. I believe that being pregnant must be the best thing any woman could ever experience. Your so lucky... I'm so anxious to find out I will be able to conceive any time soon, because I love kids a lot and I would really like to have one of my own real soon.

Congrats again to you and your husband
Keep me posted on your pregnancy to know how your coming along.

Take Care

It sounds like you may not be pregnant, but sometimes women do get their periods when they are pregnant. It is not common but it is not impossible. That's how women don't find out they are pregnant until 3 or 4 months after concieving. So it could happen. If you really think you are pregnant, take an early hpt. Goodluck
