I'm trying to find the name of a WW2 movie I seen on TV during the late 60's. I remember it was about American soldiers trying to overtake a building or farmhouse occupied by German soldiers and near the end, the Americans suffered many casualties and eventually got in the building but had to go from room to room to kill all the Germans. At the end of the film, the main character is promoted to sergeant. It was in color and had a lot of fake blood.
