Didn't see disconnect and need the power off to change out compacitor

In your breaker panel you should have a double breaker marked "air conditioner", A/C or something like that. Breaker will be a double breaker or two breakers with handles tied together.

How old is your house? Houses built within the last 15 yrs. or so have an outside disconnect. Or, do as Harold says, turn off at breaker box, should be at least 2X30 Amp. Make sure to discharge capacitor before you grab it.
