Yes I was wondering about the wedding expenses because we are not very rich and we want our wedding to be cheap but nice. Is there any way we can find a way for it to be nice and cheap? We set a budget of 2500 but that is really all we can afford.

The is great, you need to keep things to what you can afford.

Is your wedding ceremony going to be taking place in a church or someplace else? Where you are going to have it is a staring point to discussing the finances concerning it.

I don't know how much weddings cost, but you can do little things to save money like make your own cake, they have special baking books and utensils to help you out with that. Go to a craft store and make your own center pieces, your own wedding invites (I make my own birthday cards and Chirstmas cards from scratch with stamps, stickers, markers, etc... its fun I think, and have your bridemaids help ya) or I'm sure they have kits that can help you make your own wedding cards. Also Halmark has them premade. Look on Ebay for wedding dresses, I have found some gorgeous ones for not very much. Have family members/friends help you make the food for the reception (if your having one). There are so many things. Try calling a wedding planner and ask them if they have any ideas. Goodluck and congrats

It would depend, for me and my wife's wedding we knew a photographer and minister but still paid them $200 each, rental suits for me and the groomsmen was over $300.00 (same for bridesmaid dresses about) and then there's your dress...

Try having the reception at the church if they have a large room, we did this and they didn't charge us anything.

Then as above try getting people involved with planning the food and cake, also maybe bridesmaids / groomsmen could be asked to rent/buy their own suit/dress, I don't know the etiquette on asking this though.

In all, yes it can happen (depending on what you HAVE to have at the wedding)

One of the most fun weddings I ever did was a pool Hawaii theme wedding, at someone's home around their pool.

Another one done in church was a Western theme, everyone wore western clothing, and the meal after was a BBQ.

But on a traditional, just kept a budget and follow it,

Oh and try going on eBay to look for a lot of your supplies like table cloths, a wedding arch, shoes, just little stuff... that will save you. I buy and sell on eBay and you would be surprised how much stuff you can find for extremely cheap! I hope you have a beautiful wedding! :D

Keep your bridal party small (best man and maid of honor). The groom can buy a suit instead of renting a tux, or wear one he already has - maybe just get a fresh new shirt and tie. The best man can be asked to simply wear a suit. The maid of honor can wear a nice dress of her chosing, or shop for it with her. Limiting your bridal party will permit you to buy just two bridal party gifts, and cut way, way down on flowers.

Use simple cut flowers instead of elaborate arrangements. You can order some lillies or tulips in water tubes, with the stems wrapped in ribbons for yourself and your maid of honor - or you can go to a craft supply store, get the supplies and do it yourself.

Just get one flower arrangement for the church to put on the altar, and bring the same arrangement to your reception for the head table or buffet.
