There is only one unknown, X, because all 3 parcels compare to each other, right?
2 are alike.
The third is 3 times each of the other 2.
100 is what all 3 add up to.
So how would you write this?
If X is a small parcel, and the second one is the same, X, then what is the third parcel?
How do you show all 3 totaling 100?

one parcel of land60, and other two is 20, 20
One parcel of land is 3 times as larger then other two so:- 20 multiplied by 3=60
60+20+20=100
you put it in a proper equation!

Lets consider 3 parcels as X,Y,Z
As said in the question Y=Z
X=3Y=3Z
X+Y+Z=100
3Y+Y+Y=100
5Y=100 => Y=20 then Z=20
and X=3Y=60
So the 3 parts are 60,20,20
