Hi. I am woman ,19. I was going through hormonal imbalance and my periods was stopped for 1.5 months. After check up my consultant gynecologist prescribed a 10 day norlut n course. And 3 days after completing it I had vaginal bleeding for 5 days just like my normal periods.
Just bleeding was little bit heavier than usual for first 2 days. Again my doc said it was quite normal as withdrawal bleeding of norlut n is expected to be heavier for first 2 or 3 days than usual. Now internet says withdrawal bleeding is completely different from normal menstrual bleeding . Any hormonal medicine course is followed by withdrawal bleeding which resembles periods but is not periods. It is even termed as fake periods. But on the other hand norlut n is used to reschedule or regularize stopped or irregular periods. Now am confused, in my case was it real periods or not? Ar they always different? Why was my doc using those terms as synonyms? Is my normal menstrual cycle expected to begin after that bleeding or not?

We can't tell you this information; we do not have access to your medical records, your history, neither does anyone on the internet. Your doctor is the only one you should be asking these questions. Why was the doctor using those terms or synonyms... maybe because he knows what he is diagnosing and discussing.
