View Full Version : BMW X3 2004, rain leaks onto floor

I have an early 2004 BMW X3. It has a full sunroof. In heavy rain (I live in Hawaii), the front & rear floor on the driver's side collects a LOT of water; also on the front passenger's side. Can't find any wet spots above the floor. Suspect there is a drain from the full sunroof down the A & B pillars that may be clogged.

Any suggestions?

Find the drain in the sunroof and very often you can just brush the clog away with your fingers. You may have to carefully try to stick something in it to try to unplug it.

Find the drain line and use compressed air to blow them clean.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out the problem was under the hood. Leaves had clogged a drain under the cabin air filter plenum and the water found it's way through the firewall.
