Hi well I've recently had unprotected sex with my boyfriend we've been together coming up to 2 months now and I've noticed that I haven't been on my period baring in mind I am on the implant they've been regular as normal so I've waited a week and still nothing I've noticed my boobs are very tender not like normal and my belly has a very small bump yet noticeable to my friends as it's not in proportion to my body, it's very hard and I've been feeling very sick and light headed, I'm 17 so I don't know if this is normal I've done 1 test and it was negative but I know my body and this isn't normal?

It woul be too early for you to show. That doesn't normally happen until about the 4th month for the first pregnancy.

Have you missed a period yet? If not, you've tested too early. It is best to wait until your period is about 2 weeks late to test using first morning urine.

As J_9 states... but at 17, you really don't know your body al lthe well yet as you are still maturing. You are also going to find that you as a female will be late from time to time even if you haven't been having sex. You might have been regular the few years you've had your period, but being you will have it on average more than another 30... there are going to be months you are early... and some you will be a little late. And some of those will be an abnormal period.

As was said... its generally accepted that 2 weeks late is the point one wants to wait until to take a HPT. (Tests taken earlier will have a much higher false negative result rate). And taken only right after you wake up... the first time you pee that morning. If you forget you need to wait until the next morning to take it.

Sweetly, women's health, particularly pregnancy, is my profession. I went to school many years for this. I can promise you on my nursing license that it is too early for you to be showing a baby bump. My advice comes not only from experience, but from education in this particular area.

With that said, there is no form of birth control that is 100% effective 100% of the time. Any time you have sex you risk pregnancy. When your period is 2 weeks late you can test using first morning urine.

So I could possibly be pregnant?

Um... you've only had your period what, 4-6 years now. And they are never rock solid consistent for the first few of those. That's not a very large sample of time to assume its always going to be like the last couple of years. You will understand what I am saying long before you are 30 much less 40 or 50 even if it doesn't make sense to you right now.

Also... It's actually very common for your boobs to feel sore and tender when your period is due, particularly if it's a little late. It would be unusual if they didn't.

Incidentally... if you are worried about pregnancy... you shouldn't be having unprotected sex EVEN while on the implant because no form of birth control is 100% effective. We have several long time members here who have gotten pregnant while using three forms of birth control, correctly. One had it happen more than once. So yes it happens a lot more often than some might think.

Yes its POSSIBLE you are.....but you can't know just yet because its really too soon to expect a reasonibly reliable HPT result.

Yes, if you had sex, pregnancy is possible.
