Hello, I recently started to spot.. It started bright red only one time then a light pinkish color... This started on may 9 and ended on the 12th This isn't my regular period because I usually clot and the blood soaks up the pad. I didn't have to use a pad or tampon this time... My last period was April 2nd & I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 23rd. There isn't any cramping or heavy bleeding I can't seem to figure out why. Could this just be a regular period? (I FORGOT TO MENTION >>> NEGATIVE PREGNANCY TEST MAY 12TH :(

It's possible that the spotting or light bleeding is due to pregnancy. Some women will have some irregular bleeding at first, often around the time they would have expected their period. It could also just be an off cycle and your period will be normal again next month.

You could test again in several more days, perhaps this coming weekend... see your doctor for a test there, possibly a blood test... or just wait until June and see what happens with your period and test at that time if necessary.
