When my boyfriend and I have intercourse, he always wears a condom, and checks them after to see if they're okay and such. Anyway. The last day of my last period was the 5th of April, and according to the Period Tracker, I was ovulating the 22nd of April, and the only time we had sex was on the 26th because we had some complications before hand. He also had a condom on, of course. But, I still haven't started my period yet - and I'm sort of paranoid. But isn't it impossible to get pregnant after I ovulate, because my eggs die quickly ? Plus I know stress and other things postpone periods, also I know that my periods are irregular. I just need confirmation because I'm scared ..

CANNOT? As in scientific reason or OH GOD NO? Yes you can be pregnant. Your eggs die quickly? You can get pregnant before ovulation as sperm have some life, during and after ovulation, anytime up to your period. If you are going to freak out, abstinence is the only 100% way and there are better ways than condoms.

Yes, eggs die within 12-24 hours. And well, my family is christian and I shouldn't be having sex if you know what I mean. I don't know what to do...

Oh! Plus I made a typo. The last day of my last period was the 5th of April and we had sex on the 26th on April.

Period Trackers are notoriously inaccurate. An egg is usually fertilized in a Fallopian tube. Condoms are not the best means of birth control. You can get pregnant anytime during the month.

Why are you having sex and risking so much (and are so poorly informed)?

Well, I guess I don't know. But still, is there a possibility? Even if the condom was in tact..

Yes, you might be pregnant. Wait two to three weeks after this missed period and take a pregnancy test.

Period tracker apps are useless. The only way to accurately track ovulation is with basal temperature readings. You'd have to do this for at least 6 months, a year is better.

In other words, you can't know when you ovulated by using a period tracker online.

Condoms are the least reliable form of birth control. There are women on this site, and all over this world, that used 3 forms of birth control, all correctly, and still became pregnant, some more than once.

In other words, pregnancy is definitely a possibility.

How late is your period? How many days?

Well, according to the tracker, 4. But previous periods, days I wad supposed to start, I was always off days - or 'late'

Don't rely on the tracker, it's not accurate at all. Unless you've been tracking using basal temperature, you have no idea when you ovulated.

So how late are you? How many days? Have you tested for pregnancy? If so, when, and what was the result?

See, I track my period on my calendar but my days vary a lot because I'm never a set amount of days. No, I have not taken a test. I don't know how I can buy one without them knowing.

You go to the pharmacy, Walmart, dollar store, etc. and you buy a test. You test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait until your next period. If you miss it, you test again.

If you are pregnant, "they" will know sooner than you think. Taking a test doesn't require anyone knowing but you.

As said before, unless you track your period using basal temperature for at least 6 months, so you know when you ovulate, any other tracking is useless. Women can ovulate during their period. They can ovulate any time during their cycle. Tracking using an app is useless.

If you are pregnant EVERYONE is going to know soon enough.

Odds are you aren't pregnant. You used a condom and, as you said, you can only get pregnant for a short period each cycle, so chances of being near the time of ovulation when you happened to have sex are relatively low. Also, since you mentioned that your cycles are not regular, odds are your being a few days late is simply due to an irregular cycle.

However, as was said, pregnancy is going to be a possibility simply due to having sex. Condoms are not always used correctly, or fail, few women know exactly when they tend to ovulate, and an irregular cycle makes that even more of a challenge. Give it several more days to see if your period for this month shows. If not, try a test as was suggested.

As noted by other posters, no form of birth control is 100 percent. Condoms have a 3 to 18 percent failure rate, sometimes at a level that may not be detected by looking.
So any sexual intercourse gives a chance of pregnancy.

Also as said, the ovulation trackers assume, normal days, normal periods, for the majority of people. It is only an estimate and can be off greatly for a single person. So no you have no real idea of when you are ovulating.

You will need to just wait, It is best to wait till you are 14 days late to start testing, but some women do test early. Then continue to take a test, once a week, until a period comes or until test positive.

If and when you do test, use first urine of the morning, as soon as you wake up
