I have a troy-bilt push mower it is self propelled 6.75 hp z start
and it has problems
it is hard to start and when I get it started it revs and dies in about 10 seconds sometimes it last longer about 5 minutes when it dies it normally won't start again for about 15 minutes

please help!!

This sounds like a classic fuel blockage. Fuel slowly trickles in, after 15 minutes or so, it will start and run for a few seconds to a minute and then die. Not sure if there is an in-line fuel filter on this one, but I would check that first. After that I would check for dirt in bottom of fuel tank and lastly,if necessary, a close check of the carb.

I had the same problem and I cleaned the jets in the carburetor.
