I missed my period in March, got it in April and missed it again in May. My feet stay swollen, my appetite has increased but I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and they all say negative. Should I have a blood test? Or is this normal?

Hi Rekaj,
It can sometimes be normal to miss an occasional period. Had your periods been very regular prior to March? If you don't normally skip cycles, it would be a good idea to check with your doctor. While pregnancy could be a possibility, it would be unusual to test negative if you had become pregnant before March. There are other possible reasons for having irregular cycles, so best to have it looked into.

Many women miss a period, sometimes, and some when pregnant, do not test well on home tests until 3 or 4 month. If you are concerned, of course a blood test would show if you are or are not.
Are you testing first thing in the morning, as soon as you wake up ?

I would get a blood test done. Some women do get spotting during pregnancy, and mistake it for a period. There are many women that won't test positive until later in pregnancy. There are a small number of women that never get a positive result with a pregnancy test, even though they are in fact pregnant.
A blood test is a good idea. If that test is negative, I'd wait and see what happens with your next period. If you miss it, I'd request an ultrasound.
Of course this is totally up to you. It's your choice. We can't diagnose pregnancy online, sadly you have to figure this out, and I'd start by sharing your concern with your doctor.
Good luck.
