5 Days ago my husband and I had unprotected intercourse and he ejaculated in me. It happened 1 day before my calculated ovulation day. 2 days after intercourse I started feeling a bit nauseous when I would eat some foods and drink some drinks. Day 3 I nearly slept all day and I still felt like I could sleep more. Today is day 5 and I started feeling a slight cramping in my lower right stomach. Could I be pregnant or could it be something else that is causing me to feel these symptoms so soon?

Hi jenializmarie12,
It sounds as though you are trying to conceive. If so, how did you calculate when you would ovulate? If you have been following a pattern of ovulation for awhile, it can be a good idea to have intercourse a few times in the days leading up to expected ovulation, the day of, and for a couple of days after to cover any miscalculations.
Although it would be early yet to feel symptoms of pregnancy, as any possible fertilized egg would still be in the process of implantation, you may be feeling the effects of elevated progesterone, which would be common at this stage in your cycle.
Obviously feeling a bit nauseous and being extra tired could be just from your body fighting an illness.
If you are trying to become pregnant, it is also possible that you are watching for any possible indication of success. This can commonly lead to being hyper aware of even the slightest change, that may not normally give you pause at any other time.
Now you have to wait and see what happens when you would expect your next period. Hope it all turns out how you would like it to!

It takes two or three days for sperm to reach the egg. While some women report a few feelings during this, normally there is nothing to feel at this point, Most signs do not start happening for a couple more months.
The first sign most women have will be mising their next period.
Good luck, keep us posted.
*** added note... also, how are you tracking ovulation. online charts are estimates and work ok, for some women, but are not nearly always right, if you are trying to conceive you need to track ovulation though proper testing.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I knew from the beginning I was pregnant due to symptoms (about a week after I was throwing up and always sleeping) , but this time around Im not to sure if this is pregnancy or what it could be because my symptoms are not as strong as my first pregnancies were. I do have 2 apps that tells me the calculated ovulation date and when I'm most fertile. Always seems to be accurate. I love pickles, I could eat them for days, but I had some last night and I just couldn't stand the smell or get them near my mouth. Veggie wraps are my favorite, last night I could only eat a quarter of one. I can't drink nothing but water or my body rejects it.

It can be a matter of days for early symptoms to be first noticed. It all depends on when implantation occurs (which can vary by a number of days from person to person) and how sensitive you are to the hormone changes that occur. Some women will feel changes before they even miss a period, others will not notice anything until later. What each woman experiences as pregnancy symptoms will vary as well... for example, not everyone has nausea.
The apps can give you a good starting place, but keep in mind that not everyone will ovulate within the norm. Certainly pregnancy is a possibility, but again, you'll need to wait a bit longer to find out. If you continue to feel that your symptoms are from a pregnancy, you could see your doctor about having a blood test in the next few days to find out sooner.
