Stop obsessing over it. Get out and about with groups of friends. Volunteer at an animal shelter or hospital. Take a class at a nearby college--just for fun and to learn something you've always wanted to know more about--astronomy or auto mechanics or basket weaving. Live life to the fullest and prove to yourself (and her) that it was only a bump in the road.

The last thing you do is isolate yourself on a pity pot feeling bad for your bruised ego. Have a good cry then go back to the fun you had before she made it miserable. Punishing yourself for giving your heart to an escort does you no good at all and is a lesson to learn. It's like failing a test because you didn't study for it, forgive yourself, regroup, and do better.

Be grateful for having a chance to do better. Eventually it will get better. Get off the pot and make a list of things you can do for yourself that makes you feel better. Find the things that you enjoy with friends, family, and activities that make you happy. Look forward to the NEXT adventure.
