My boyfriend and I had sex a few weeks ago. We use a condom and he pulled out before he finished, as always. Now I'm supposed to have my period, but all I have is brown discharge. Not pink, not red, just dark brown. I also took two pregnancy tests, both negative. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant? What's wrong..

He doesn't HAVE to finish to make you pregnant. He can do it the moment he first enters you, particualrly important is how he handles himself and the condom at the beginning. "Finishing" only increases the odds. Condoms are roughly 80% effective....so it is possible.

Consider getting INK on your hands in a dark room adn don't know it.....soon ink is on everything.

So how late for your period are you? If it hasn't been 2 weeks late yet... you are wating your money testing. Wait until you are 2 weeks late, test first thing after you wake up, first time you pee....and read it in the time window on the test instructions.

How old are you?

I congratulate you on using condoms. That's smart, but there is also a chance of failure when you use condoms. The brown discharge could be the coming period. Wait for about two weeks after your period is supposed to start, then take a home pregnancy test. You're testing too early.

How late is your period? Unless it's at least 2 weeks late, any test you take is invalid. False negatives are very common.

Brown blood usually indicates old blood that your system is trying to clear out. It could also indicate that your period is starting, and many other things.

Having said that. Condoms are the least reliable form of birth control on the market. Pulling out is not even a form of birth control. So your chances of getting pregnant are pretty darn good.

Even if you use the pill, a condom, and another form of birth control, pregnancy is possible. Only a condom and pulling out, good chance of pregnancy sooner or later, especially since most people don't use condoms correctly.

Wait until your period is at least 2 weeks late, then test using first morning urine. If that test is negative, wait for your next period. If you miss it, test again or get a blood test done.

If you dodge this bullet, look into more effective birth control. But know that any time you have sex, even if you're using every birth control on the market, pregnancy is possible. If you're not ready for a baby, you're not ready for sex.

Good luck.

My period wasn't late when I was bleeding.. I'm not here to be judged, all I'm looking for is some feedback. (preferably positive). You're right, I am young and I'm not ready for a baby. I was just trying to be safe, since I'm not on any birth contol yet.. we try to be very careful when having sex, but you guys are right, I'm not ready for such a responsibility..

I'm not judging. Not at all.

You're asking for feedback that is impossible to give online. We can't diagnose what the brown discharge is, I told you what it could be, but that's not a diagnosis. A diagnosis isn't possible online.

We also can't diagnose pregnancy online. Pregnancy can only be diagnosed by a urine test, a blood test, an ultrasound, or giving birth. We really can't tell you if you're pregnant, unless you want to send one of us your pee or your blood, and even that wouldn't be definitive.

Bottom line, if you're not ready to be a mom, you're not ready for sex. No form of birth control on the market is 100%. You could use 2 or more forms and still become pregnant. If you're having sex, you have to be ready to accept that you may become a parent. If you're not ready for that, you shouldn't be having sex.
