I'm six weeks pregnant and cramping terribly. It's there nothing I can take. I've been in so much pain. I am spotting but nothing heavy at all

Hi Isabel,
Unfortunately there is little that can be done early on. It may just be general cramping that some women will experience in early pregnancy; it could be a possible miscarriage. Always best to contact your doctor or midwife to make them aware of what you are feeling when something new comes up. They may say it is just part of being pregnant, or they may want you to be seen, but let them make that decision. They all will have contact numbers for after hours, so you don't need to wait until they are open to call.
Generally trying an acetaminophen, such as Tylenol or a store brand, is safe, but do check with your doctor or midwife to be sure it is true for you as well. Sometimes some warmth can help. A warm bath, or a warming pack for a short time... but not hot.
Give your doctor or midwife a call and fill them in.
