Ok I know it's all over the internet and I pretty much am sure on the answer, but I need to be told by someone concerning my exact situation.
I landed a huge job opportunity and have a hair test on April 16. I am freaking out because I smoked pot ONE time back on December 21. Maybe one bowl? It wasn't much, I had a couple bulbs in a bag (given to me by a friend as a honeymoon gift)
From the research I have done, I am past the 90 day window, 120 some odd days. I have also read several times that one time usage usually does not show positive for hair tests.
I just need that extra reassurance, or to be told I'm wrong so I at least know. Thanks to all answers. I will be back go post my results for others in this situation.

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, taken from the scalp, will go back 90 days. If it was a one time use you should be OK.

Assuming it really was only once... we know how many people have stretched the truth believing that will change test results.

It was only once. First and only time I've tried it. I have no reason to hide things from anyone on here. Thank y'all for the responses, test is tomorrow morning but after all the researching I've done I feel pretty confident. Of course there is always that little bit of doubt.

I had to say that because you would be surprised how many people aren't honest about that... even with themselves, I'd say most of them, usually comes out eventually, thats how we know. They can fool themselves but not the test.
Glad you are being honest.

Got the drug test done yesterday morning, I noticed the envelope said Quest Diagnostics. Not sure that makes any difference at all.
I don't think they'll call me unless it's bad news... sure wish I could get a call even if I passed though just so I would know.

Typically the potential employer is notified of the test results, and they would be the ones that calls you.

Been a week since the test, HR said they are still waiting on one more thing to come through for me to be "official" I don't know if it's the drug test, background, driving record or what... just as I started to calm down about this too! I am supposed to start May 1st so I at least will know by then... I have a lot riding on this.

Well there is nothing at all you can do now but wait. My best guess... its the background check... drug tests I think are usually back in about 3-4 days, driving records can be had a lot quicker...

That was my best guess as well.
I am pretty confident that I'll pass, I was a nervous wreck a week ago but after all the reading I've done and through this post, I feel confident.
You are right though... no sense worrying now. What's done is done

Well I still haven't heard anything (no news is good news) I think if the results were negative I would have heard by now, been a little over a week since the test. Who knows though.
Good luck with your situation! I know it's nerve racking.
